RESURRECTION SUNDAY

Welcome to VIVA CHURCH for Resurrection Sunday. We’re so glad to have everyone joining us in person and online as we celebrate across three services the greatest victory in history. Our Lead Pastor, Frank Seixas, brings a powerful message titled THE DAY DEATH DIED, reminding us that the resurrection of Jesus is not just a moment we remember, it’s the foundation of our faith and the reason we have hope today.

Through Matthew 28:5-9 and other powerful scriptures, we are reminded that Jesus didn’t just rise from the grave, He defeated sin, death, and every power that stood against us. What looked like the end became the ultimate victory. The resurrection proves that forgiveness is real, new life is available, and eternity has been secured for those who believe. Death no longer has the final word because Jesus is alive.

This message also calls us to live the reality of the resurrection right now. We are invited to walk in newness of life, to live set apart, and to carry the hope of Jesus into our everyday lives. Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or you’re joining us for the first time, this is your moment to respond to the risen Savior. Come expectant as we celebrate, worship, and encounter Jesus together at VIVA.

  • I am Frank the co-lead Pastor and with my wife Chris are the founders of VIVA Church in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. I first came to Canada in 1987, following God’s call to permanently move from Brazil to Canada. In August 1992, I started VIVA Church. In January 1994, I married Chris, and in 1996, I graduated from the Nazarene Bible College of Canada. Later I was awarded Doctor of Divinity (DDiv) from Canada Christian College in 2022.

    With a vision to reach people for Jesus, VIVA Church has grown to become a positive influence for the Kingdom, not only in Oshawa but also by planting churches internationally in countries like Cambodia and Uganda. Beyond our work at the local church, I (Frank) serve the body of Christ on the boards of other ministries and churches, and I am part of the Apostolic Ministry of MFI-Canada. I also travel to speak at conferences and many churches around the world.

    Chris and I have dedicated more than 30 years to serving at VIVA Church, witnessing the salvation and growth of many. We have been blessed with two beautiful daughters: Leticia, our youngest, and Gabriella, our oldest, who is married to Matheus.
