GOOD FRIDAY

by | Apr 3, 2026 | Viva Easter

Welcome to VIVA CHURCH for our Good Friday services. We’re so glad to have everyone joining us in person and online as we gather across two services to remember the sacrifice of Jesus and reflect on the power of the cross. Our Lead Pastor, Frank Seixas, brings a powerful message titled THE MAN WHO SHOULD HAVE DIED, drawing us into one of the most sobering and life-changing moments in Scripture.

Through the story of Barabbas in Matthew 27, we are reminded that he represents all of us. Guilty, undeserving, and yet set free. While the crowd chose Barabbas, Jesus willingly took his place on the cross. This moment reveals the heart of the Gospel. Jesus didn’t just die for humanity, He died in our place. What should have been ours, He carried. What we deserved, He took upon Himself so that we could receive forgiveness, healing, and new life.

Join us this Sunday across three services (9:00 am, 10:45 am, & 12:30 pm) at VIVA CHURCH as we worship, learn, and align our hearts with God’s mission. Come expecting a fresh word and a renewed passion to live out your faith in these times. Let’s lift high the name of Jesus together! Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe to stay connected with all that God is doing at VIVA CHURCH! 🙌🔥✝️

  • I am Frank the co-lead Pastor and with my wife Chris are the founders of VIVA Church in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. I first came to Canada in 1987, following God’s call to permanently move from Brazil to Canada. In August 1992, I started VIVA Church. In January 1994, I married Chris, and in 1996, I graduated from the Nazarene Bible College of Canada. Later I was awarded Doctor of Divinity (DDiv) from Canada Christian College in 2022.

With a vision to reach people for Jesus, VIVA Church has grown to become a positive influence for the Kingdom, not only in Oshawa but also by planting churches internationally in countries like Cambodia and Uganda. Beyond our work at the local church, I (Frank) serve the body of Christ on the boards of other ministries and churches, and I am part of the Apostolic Ministry of MFI-Canada. I also travel to speak at conferences and many churches around the world.

Chris and I have dedicated more than 30 years to serving at VIVA Church, witnessing the salvation and growth of many. We have been blessed with two beautiful daughters: Leticia, our youngest, and Gabriella, our oldest, who is married to Matheus.
