RESURRECTION SUNDAY

Join us for VIVA CHURCH’s Resurrection Sunday service with lead pastor Frank Seixas as he delivers a powerful message on “The Power of the Resurrection.” Using Philippians 3:10-11 as the foundation, Pastor Frank will explore how the Resurrection of Jesus Christ provides us with the power of change, victory, hope, and salvation.

In Acts 3:26, we see how the power of the Resurrection can turn us away from our iniquities, while in 1 Corinthians 15:54-57, we learn that death is swallowed up in victory through Christ. Next, 1 John 3:2 reminds us that as children of God, we will one day be like Him and see Him as He is, giving us hope. And finally, through baptism into Christ’s death and Resurrection, we are made new creatures and have the power of salvation, as seen in Isaiah 64:6, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Romans 6:3-5, and Colossians 2:12.

  • Pastor Frank Seixas

    I am Frank the co-lead Pastor and with my wife Chris are the founders of VIVA Church in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. I first came to Canada in 1987, following God’s call to permanently move from Brazil to Canada. In August 1992, I started VIVA Church. In January 1994, I married Chris, and in 1996, I graduated from the Nazarene Bible College of Canada. Later I was awarded Doctor of Divinity (DDiv) from Canada Christian College in 2022.

    With a vision to reach people for Jesus, VIVA Church has grown to become a positive influence for the Kingdom, not only in Oshawa but also by planting churches internationally in countries like Cambodia and Uganda. Beyond our work at the local church, I (Frank) serve the body of Christ on the boards of other ministries and churches, and I am part of the Apostolic Ministry of MFI-Canada. I also travel to speak at conferences and many churches around the world.

    Chris and I have dedicated more than 30 years to serving at VIVA Church, witnessing the salvation and growth of many. We have been blessed with two beautiful daughters: Leticia, our youngest, and Gabriella, our oldest, who is married to Matheus.
