by , | Jan 25, 2026 | Focus, Guest Speakers

We’re excited to welcome you to VIVA CHURCH for VIVA SUNDAY as we gather together for a powerful time in God’s presence. This week, we’re honoured to host Pastor Matt Tapley from Lakemount Worship Centre. Pastor Matt is a gifted leader with a deep commitment to the Word of God and a strong dependence on the Holy Spirit. His ministry carries a genuine passion for the manifest Presence of God and the healing work of the Spirit, stirring faith and hunger for the more of God wherever he goes.

Pastor Matt’s life and ministry are marked by faith, perseverance, and compassion. Alongside his wife Lisa and their family, he has walked through seasons of joy and deep loss, experiences that have shaped his heart for people facing grief, disappointment, and hardship. His testimony brings both strength and tenderness, offering hope and encouragement rooted in God’s faithfulness and power.

Due to the forecasted winter storm, VIVA SUNDAY will run two services only at 8:45am and 10:30am. The third service and churchwide prayer are cancelled for safety reasons. We encourage you to join us in person if you are able to travel safely, or tune in online as we believe for God to move mightily in our midst.

  • Pastor Matt is a gifted leader who serves Lakemount Worship Centre in Grimsby, Ontario by developing leaders in a culture of dependence on the Spirit with full devotion to the unchanging Word of God. He frequently travels the nation as an insightful preacher, anointed worship leader and a keen contributor to leadership team environments. Matt’s commitment to the manifest Presence of God and the healing gifts of the Holy Spirit are a catalyst for stirring renewed faith for the “more” of God wherever he ministers.

He has been happily married to Lisa since 1994, and has three children - Abby, Joey, and Sarah. After a three year journey battling cancer, Sarah graduated into eternity in 2012. Sarah's passing has affected the house as a whole in a major way, and has granted Matt a deeper understanding and compassion for those walking through loss, grief, and disappointments.
