Welcome to Viva Church’s Family Day Service, where we will be exploring Luke 15:8-9 and the powerful message of “Light the Lamp and Get Sweeping.” Join our family pastors, Pr. Valdir and Alessandra Felicio, as they share their insights on this inspiring passage.

In Luke 15:8-9, Jesus tells the story of a woman who lost one of her ten silver coins and diligently searched for it until she found it. Through this story, we learn about the importance of persistence and diligence in our own lives, and how God never gives up on us.

Pr. Valdir and Alessandra will share practical insights on how to apply this message to our daily lives and strengthen our family relationships. Through worship, prayer, and a powerful message, we will be inspired to light the lamp and get sweeping in our own lives.

Pastor Alessandra Felicio

Valdir and Alessandra, both born and raised in southern Brazil, have an incredible journey of faith and service. Valdir experienced a radical transformation at age 20, turning his life around from drugs and alcohol to becoming the young adult’s director at his local church. It was there that he met Alessandra, who had also encountered Christ at age 20 through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. They married in 1993 and welcomed their first son, Joao Vitor a year later. Feeling God’s call, Valdir and Alessandra moved to Canada, where their daughter, Anna Paula, was born. In 2002, they joined the VIVA Church team and have been serving faithfully ever since. Ordained as pastors in 2008, Valdir and Alessandra are deeply passionate about fostering healthy marriages and building strong, thriving families. Their dedication and love for the community continue to inspire and uplift those around them.
