FROM FEAR TO FAITH

This VIVA SUNDAY we continue our powerful series SHIFT — From Me to Him with our Lead Pastor, Frank Seixas, bringing the message SHIFT: FROM FEAR TO FAITH. We’re so glad to be gathering together again across three services, expecting God to move in a mighty way.

Pastor Frank will take us into the story of Daniel in the lion’s den (Daniel 6), showing how Daniel’s faith remained unshaken even in the face of danger. While fear is a natural response to uncertainty and opposition, Daniel chose courage rooted in prayer and trust in God. His testimony reminds us that faith shuts the mouths of fear and positions us to see the miraculous power of God at work in our lives.

This message will challenge us to stop letting fear dictate our decisions and to instead live boldly by faith. Just as God delivered Daniel, He is faithful to deliver us when we trust Him fully. Come ready to worship, grow, and declare that in every circumstance: “I will not draw back — I will live by faith.”

  • Pastor Frank Seixas

    I am Frank the co-lead Pastor and with my wife Chris are the founders of VIVA Church in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. I first came to Canada in 1987, following God’s call to permanently move from Brazil to Canada. In August 1992, I started VIVA Church. In January 1994, I married Chris, and in 1996, I graduated from the Nazarene Bible College of Canada. Later I was awarded Doctor of Divinity (DDiv) from Canada Christian College in 2022.

    With a vision to reach people for Jesus, VIVA Church has grown to become a positive influence for the Kingdom, not only in Oshawa but also by planting churches internationally in countries like Cambodia and Uganda. Beyond our work at the local church, I (Frank) serve the body of Christ on the boards of other ministries and churches, and I am part of the Apostolic Ministry of MFI-Canada. I also travel to speak at conferences and many churches around the world.

    Chris and I have dedicated more than 30 years to serving at VIVA Church, witnessing the salvation and growth of many. We have been blessed with two beautiful daughters: Leticia, our youngest, and Gabriella, our oldest, who is married to Matheus.
