THE DANGERS OF NOT BEING TOTALLY IN

by | Nov 19, 2023 | More Faith

Join us for a transformative Sunday service at VIVA CHURCH with our lead Pastor, Frank Seixas! This week, Pastor Frank will delve into Acts 20:7-12, exploring the powerful message “The Dangers of Not Being Totally In.”

In this scripture, we witness the urgency and significance of persevering in faith, a crucial element for seeing impactful results in our lives. The receptivity of the crowd is highlighted as they gather on the first day of the week to share in the Lord’s Supper, creating an atmosphere of spiritual communion.

Pastor Frank will draw attention to the setting illuminated by many flickering lamps, symbolizing the importance of spiritual light in our lives. The narrative of Eutychus, who fell asleep on the windowsill and experienced a dramatic rescue by Paul, is a powerful metaphor. The message will explore the profound truth that where you sit in life dictates where you end up, and even if you fall, rescue is on the way.

Take advantage of this impactful sermon that sheds light on the dangers of not being totally committed to our faith journey. Join us in worship, reflection, and communion as we seek spiritual transformation together. See you at VIVA CHURCH’s livestream!

  • Pastor Frank Seixas

I am Frank the co-lead Pastor and with my wife Chris are the founders of VIVA Church in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. I first came to Canada in 1987, following God’s call to permanently move from Brazil to Canada. In August 1992, I started VIVA Church. In January 1994, I married Chris, and in 1996, I graduated from the Nazarene Bible College of Canada. Later I was awarded Doctor of Divinity (DDiv) from Canada Christian College in 2022.

With a vision to reach people for Jesus, VIVA Church has grown to become a positive influence for the Kingdom, not only in Oshawa but also by planting churches internationally in countries like Cambodia and Uganda. Beyond our work at the local church, I (Frank) serve the body of Christ on the boards of other ministries and churches, and I am part of the Apostolic Ministry of MFI-Canada. I also travel to speak at conferences and many churches around the world.

Chris and I have dedicated more than 30 years to serving at VIVA Church, witnessing the salvation and growth of many. We have been blessed with two beautiful daughters: Leticia, our youngest, and Gabriella, our oldest, who is married to Matheus.
